Tektronix Color Printer Graphic Designer Prospecting
After making a major push into the business market, Tektronix turned its attention again to the market that had made it all possible, the graphics market.
Our international mailing to 300,000 graphic artists, ad agencies, design firms, and computer production houses featured an artsy version of the new look we developed for the business market.
The face of Tragedy asked, "Missing the power of color?" To dramatize printer versatility, we created a Comedy mask from prints on every type of paper stock you could imagine, tree bark to corrugated. One actual print sample on cover stock, the size of one rectangle, was tipped over the top to demonstrate a perfect match. We designed multiple pieces for an imaginary Artists Repertory Theatre. We also created a matching ad which ran in graphics magazines such a s Communication Arts.
