IBM in Oregon Awareness Campaign
MKTX analyzed a long list of what engineers want out of life, and we arrived at a breakthrough insight. IBM is an ideal company to work for and Oregon is an ideal place to live and work. Now the two were combined.
We discovered this by making a list of IBM corporate attributes and comparing it to a list of Oregon's attributes, noting where they overlapped. Each element of the campaign used "IBM in Oregon" as the headline, and added three of these shared attributes as the copy. Two powerful images supported the message: The IBM logo and an Oregon scene. The combination created a fresh awareness, both internally and externally, for this positive working environment.
