PolarStar - Looking Ahead in 2008

2007 was a busy and exciting year for Polar Systems Managed Network Services (now PolarStar Network Services) team.  We were able to double in size while also being recognized as one of the Top 100 Managed Service Providers in the world by the leading independent media outlet in our industry.  Although the recognition is nice, we are focused on continuing to develop and improve the quality of the managed services that we provide.

With that in mind, I have listed some of the plans for PolarStar in the upcoming months.

Ride Connection Gets a "Lift" from Polar Systems

When Portland-based Ride Connection was faced with filling a position vacated by an in-house IT staff member, they turned to Polar Systems to fill the gap.

Incorporated in 1988, Ride Connection arranges transportation for older adults and people with disabilities throughout the Portland metropolitan area by contracting with local transportation providers. The organization’s diverse range of services include providing transportation for low-income job seekers and providing information and training on how to use mass-transit to older adults who may not have used it before.

Polar Star Team Profile: Terry Colton

Terry Colton is a Senior Applications Consultant at Polar Systems. Terry explains her role at Polar this way: “One facet of the Polar business is that we sell, install and train our clients on business applications. The majority of those are accounting systems for both profit and non-profit businesses. I also do some database design and some custom programming of applications that work in conjunction with accounting software.”
